First Time Guest

We understand that coming along to a new place for the first time can be a daunting prospect.  At Hope Church, we do everything that we can to make your experience with us as enjoyable as possible. On this page, we hope that you find relevant information that will help you as you begin your journey at Hope Church.

General Info

What time does it start?

Sunday morning at 10:30am

Where is the church?

We are located at 85 Moira Road, BT26 6DX.

What should you wear?

Most people who attend are usually dressed in a casual manner, for example a t-shirt & jeans. However, if you would like to wear your new suit or dress you are totally welcome!

Where can you park?

There is free parking at the venue. Upon your arrival, you will be directed by one of our friendly car parking team members toward a space.

What should you expect?

Our morning gatherings are always full of life. When you walk into the venue you will be greeted by a friendly volunteer. If you are joining us in the morning and you have a family, you can sign any of your children into either our 'Tiny Treasures' creche or if they are of primary school age, then you can sign them up for 'Kingdom Kids'. The leaders of 'Tiny Treasures' will be ready to receive your children from 10:20am and the 'Kingdom Kids' program will begin after communion. Our service starts at 10:30am and runs to around 12:00. The service normally has around 25 minutes of worship followed by communion and then 35 minutes of biblical teaching from one of our pastors/elders or members.

Worship

Our morning services launch with a time of celebration and passionate sung worship. This normally lasts around 25 minutes and will be directed from the front. All the words are on the screens so if want to, you can sing along. We encourage you to relax and engage at your own pace, even if that means not singing at all.

After worship, we usually have communion together. Taking time to reflect upon what Jesus has done for us. This usually lasts around 10 minutes and this is followed by teaching from God's Word.

What About My Kids?

We have stimulating and relevant environments for all kids aged 1-11 during our morning service. There will be a sign-in table for 'Tiny Treasures' creche (pre-school - age 4) when you come into our foyer, usually on a glass table beside a tiny treasures banner. There will also be a sign-in table for 'Kingdom Kids' (p1 - year 8) usually on the left as you come through the main front doors. There will be two leaders at a table and the leaders will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.

If you have a newborn child less than a year old, you can relax and enjoy the service (we don't mind at all if your baby wants to audibly participate!) or if you do need to do a change or feed, you can connect with other mothers in our baby room which is located just outside the main auditorium. The service will be relayed to a t.v in this room.

Sunday Morning

Normally after worship, we have a relevant and meaningful preach. Our talks aim to be challenging, biblical, inspiring, and hopefully applicable to all of our lives. We design them to last around 35 minutes so you can rest assured that you won’t be sitting in the service come Monday.

And after that – well; we are done! There are always a lot of people who stay and talk after the service and we are sure that you will find lots of friendly people who would love to chat. But if you need to get home for dinner you can!

We look forward to seeing you!
